Yes. We work across residential renovations and new builds (Class 1, Class 2, Class 3), as well as commercial and retail fitouts (Class 5, Class 6, Class 9b), from concept design through to construction documentation.

A draftsperson can produce standard drawings, but an architect brings design problem-solving, spatial planning expertise, and end-to-end project oversight — from concept through council approval to construction. For anything beyond a simple like-for-like rebuild, an architect typically delivers a better outcome for a similar overall cost once you factor in fewer costly changes during construction.

Site property address, a floor plan (e.g. real estate marketing plan will do)!
It helps to have a rough idea of your budget range, what you want to achieve (extra bedroom, better kitchen flow, more natural light, etc.), and any must-haves or deal-breakers.

A Complying Development Certificate (CDC) is a fast-tracked approval pathway for projects that strictly meet State planning criteria — no council merit assessment required. A Development Application (DA) is needed for bespoke designs or projects that don't meet CDC criteria, and goes through council assessment. A Construction Certificate (CC) comes after DA approval and confirms your working drawings meet the National Construction Code before building can start. We assess which pathway suits your project at the outset.

It depends on factors like site size, setbacks, height, and zoning. We carry out a compliance assessment against the relevant State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP) early on to confirm which pathway applies — this is one of the first things we do for any new project. The Best Solution: Apply for a Section 10.7(2) & (5) from Local Council to confirm.

-
Not quite — you'll need a Construction Certificate (CC) first, which confirms your detailed working drawings meet building code and DA conditions. We prepare this documentation and coordinate the certifier sign-off so you can move straight into construction.
